Getting Started

How do I log a workout by voice?+

After opening TalkFit, tap the microphone on the main screen and describe what you're doing. Say something like "Bench press, 225 pounds, 8 reps" and TalkFit will parse and save it. You can also pre-load your full workout before you start: "Push day — bench press 5 sets, incline 4 sets, cable flies 3 sets."

What can I say to TalkFit?+

TalkFit understands natural gym language. You can name exercises, weights, reps, sets, and notes. You can also correct mid-workout: "I got 10 instead of 8 on that last set" and TalkFit will update the log automatically.

How does the rest timer work?+

The rest timer starts automatically after you log a set. It counts down based on your set type — longer for heavy compound lifts, shorter for hypertrophy work. You can also set it manually.

Is my data saved if I close the app?+

Yes. Every logged set is saved immediately to your account. Your full workout history is accessible any time under the Calendar tab.

Account & Billing

What's included in the free version?+

The free version includes text workout logging, full workout history, progressive overload tracking, the rest timer, and weekly check-ins. No card required.

What does Pro add?+

TalkFit Pro ($4.99/month or $34.99/year) adds voice logging, AI workout generation, AI weekly feedback, the ability to replace exercises with AI suggestions, and unlimited daily logs.

What does Premium add?+

TalkFit Premium ($9.99/month, or $34.99 for your first year then $69.99/year) adds Forge — our full AI coaching mode that knows your complete training history, gives personalized coaching feedback, and helps you build and manage your supplement stack.

How do I cancel my subscription?+

Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → TalkFit. You can cancel or change your plan there. Cancelling stops future charges; your access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?+

Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com with your Apple ID to request a refund for any App Store purchase.

Forge AI Coaching

What is Forge?+

Forge is TalkFit's AI coaching mode, available with Premium. It reads your full training history and gives you personalized feedback — what's working, what to change, when to push for a PR, and how your recovery is trending.

How does Forge know my training history?+

Forge reads every workout you've logged in TalkFit. The more you've logged, the more specific and useful its coaching becomes. After about 5 workouts, Forge starts to understand your patterns.

Is Forge a real personal trainer?+

Forge is an AI coaching tool, not a licensed personal trainer or medical professional. Its feedback is informational. Always consult a qualified professional before making significant changes to your training, especially if you have an injury or health condition.

Data & Privacy

Does TalkFit read my Apple Health data?+

TalkFit can optionally read Apple Health data (HRV, sleep, resting heart rate, step count, active calories) to provide more informed weekly check-in feedback. This is optional and requires your permission. Your Health data is never sold and never used for advertising.

Are my voice recordings stored?+

Voice recordings are processed to extract workout data and are not stored on TalkFit's servers after processing. The parsed workout data (exercise, weight, reps) is what gets saved to your account.

How do I delete my account and data?+

To request account and data deletion, email us at support@talkfit.llc with the subject line "Account Deletion Request." We will process your request within 7 business days.

Technical Issues

TalkFit isn't responding to my voice — what do I do?+

First, check that microphone permission is enabled: iPhone Settings → TalkFit → Microphone. If permission is on and the mic still isn't working, try closing and reopening the app. If the issue continues, contact us with your iOS version and app version (found in Account → Settings).

My workout history isn't showing up+

Pull down to refresh on the Calendar screen. If data is still missing, make sure you're signed in to the same account. For persistent issues, contact support with your account email.
